About
Okay, so here’s the deal. My life is fairly simple.
My weeks are spent cooped up in a lab of some sorts, in front of a lecture hall or hiding in our research/grad offices. Between being relatively productive (as my advisors peaks over my shoulder or a deadline creeps up on me) and working hard to procrastinate, my time is taken up. In other words, research has just taken over. I’m not complaining. I love it… well, most of the time. I just need a break at times.
To add a little adventure, or just a change of scenery, a few years ago I picked up my camera and set out on a long sight-seeing walk. That one walk turned into a hobby. I started dedicating part of each weekend to visiting a city, park or historic location in the region. It’s been great. It gets me away and relieves some stress.
I started out with two walks per weekend, but it’s now dwindled down to one several couple of weekends. I’ve branched out and added a few other activities that take up some of my free time. It’s all another step closer to a nice balance between work and play in my life. Who knows, I might just find it before I graduate.
I’ve created this blog to share my trips. I take way too many pictures for anyone to sort through, so I chose a few that best represent the walk and post them. Add in a little commentary about whatever crosses my mind… maybe a noteworthy story from the trip, a helpful tip I figured out along the way or just information pertaining to the spot.
